Overview

This project is intended to educate ourselves and others about invasive exotic pets and solutions to the increasing problem.

Objectives

To learn how unwanted invasive species can cause problems in Florida ecosystems. Students will learn the meaning of biodiversity and how to distinguish the difference between a non-native and an invasive species.

(start typing here) Ashlee: You have been so dedicated to find information. I am proud to see you got a chance to come to the wiki. Do you think that someone really brought the brown anole here? How do you think they brought it? Could it be possible that this guy got here by accident? If so how? Ashlee: It is native to Cuba,Bahmas.

          This species is from Cuba and the Bahamas. 

• What does invasive mean? How is it different than being just non-native? (start typing here)Pedro good explanation. Invasive almost sounds like a wild fire out of control. Doesn't it? MMM. I wonder. Does a non native  species act like a wild fire? Pedro Responds:

             Invasive means that something or someone that goes to a place where it does not belong to and harms that place by killing the wildlife there and it is         

             very hard to stop it. The diffrence between invasive species and non-native species is that invasive species can couse harm in a place that it does not belong but a non-native species can just go to a place that it does not belong to and not doing any harm. 

• How does your species affect our Florida ecosystems? What Florida animals is it affecting? How did humans affect our Florida environment with your species? (start typing here) Megan: The brown Anoles are taking the green anoles food and homes so the green anoles are dying out. 

• What can humans do to fix the problem? (start typing here) - All of you should come up with at least one idea for a total of four ideas.
